Girls Trip to Mexico...

July 25 my sister and I went to Mexico with 5 other girls for our yearly girls trip. We went to the Riveria Maya for a week. It was so much fun. Such a beautiful area to visit.

September 5th my family and I went on a 5 day river trip down the Green River at the Gates of Ladore section. It was so nice, and needed. I don't have pictures yet but they will be coming soon. The last day on the river was my birthday. The night before the cooks made pineapple upside down cake, my favorite, and sang happy b-day to me. 

We got home the night of the 10th. (b-day) and Jay gave me my present. An amazing new digital camera. It is so nice. It has two zooming lenses to see up close and personal, and has so many buttons that there are two dvd's two help me learn everything. I also get to go to 10 photo classes for free to improve my skills (the little that I have). I am so excited! So maybe now there will be cool pictures for you all to see.

Ok, again, it has been a while. My sister, some girls, and I went to Mexico for our girls trip the end of July. So I have been waiting for all our pictures to come back so I could post them. However it is taking a little longer. So I will save the excitment for another post. For this post I want to show how our Morgan house is coming along. I have been taking pictures of the progression. And let me say the crew is FAST! This will be a pic. by pic. with the date I took the pics so you can see what I mean.

Lagoon Baby!

Last night after work I met Jay at Lagoon for a quick date night. I was a little nervous not knowing how the little alien in my stomach would react. So we decided to try the Tidal Wave first. It has alway been one of my favorites but not last night. I was dizzy and ready to show people my dinner. After we went and played some games and Jay won me a green frog. He is the first guy to ever win me a prize, I felt so special. Next we tried the White coaster (Loved It!) It was just perfect. At the last of the night we went and drove the drag race cars! Oh my gosh! If you have never tried it yet you need to. It was the highlight of my night. There were 4 of us racing each other, Jay two other guys and myself. I am pleased to tell you all that I took first place all three races! It's kind of one of those secret wishes of mine, do be a race car driver, and last night I got a small dose of it. I will really remember it for ever! When we got home Emma was waiting and we gave her the frog Jay won. She was so excited, she was prancing aroung and giving it baths. She won't part with it. It really is quite funny, she slept with it last night, takes naps with it and carries it with her where ever she goes.

What a busy month!

Sorry it has been so long. It's been a busy busy month. I will just do a recap to save you the pain of reading hours worth of nonsense.

Jay and I have been looking at trucks just keeping our options open for when ever we saw a steal of a deal we would consider buying another truck and sell our gas hog dodge. Well the first week in June Jay tells me he has sold my car to someone (without me knowing we were even putting it up for sale) and that I will be driving our other car that's for sell till he decides what I will be driving for the rest of how ever long. Two days later he comes to my work and tells me to come outside to see what he bought for me. Again didn't know what was going on. It's kind of fun to be surprised like that. Anyway, he pulls up in my new 2008 Toyota Tundra! It is such a beautiful truck. For those of you who didn't know, I am a truck girl. This truck is just cherry so comfortable, and is really good on gas for a truck. I was so excited when I saw it!

The next exciting news is that we closed on our loan for our house the papers are in to the city and our builder said there is a great chance that we will break ground next week (first week of July). We are only a month behind where we wanted to be but it's better late than never. For those of you who don't know where we are building but know Morgan a little or a lot. We are building right below the 'M' on the mountain. A neighborhood called the Red Rock Community. We are so excited. I think it is a great lot with great neighbors (I know quite a few already) and we have a mountain scene in our backyard. We can not wait to move in, our builder said the last house he built like ours took him four months to build but we signed a contract for Dec. 4th. Honestly how often does a house get built in 4 months (we are planning on 6 but crossing our fingers for the 4).

And last but not least by any means. For fathers day Emma and I gave Jay a gift for being such a wonderful husband and dog dad (hee hee). We woke Jay up, around 10 mind you, and gave him a basket with a bear in it. This was a special bear however, the bear was wearing a onsie that said "my dad is #1" and he was holding a pregnancy test showing +. For those of you who don't know what that means, it means Jay and I are having a baby. It's the weirdest, freakiest, and somewhat exciting news I have had in a long time (forever). We are both excited for this change in our lives but very nervous as well. As of June 25 we are eight weeks along, making our due date around Feb. 12, 2009. Just in time for our house to be built and settled into a little. So if you who are reading this have any advise that you think we should know about please don't hesitate to leave a message.

Oh Rafting!

Well , this past weekend Jay and I met up with some friends and we got to go rafting. I was so excited I thought I was going to have to work on Sat. but it was covered. So Friday night Jay and I headed out to Vernal. We camped at the Green River campground. We got there so late, midnight, that all we wanted to do was set up camp and sleep. It was wonderful. There was a creek flowing right by us, our tent was about 15 steps to the water. So we got to sleep with the sound of running water. I love that sound. We woke up around 9 sat. morning, when I looked out the tent I was blown away. It was such a beautiful view of the different colors in the mountains, trees everywhere, and what I thought was a creek was actually the Green river it self. And boy was it flowing. We finally met up with our group, most from Utah Valley Univ. And one of my bestfriends Ashley was able to come. She and I have quite a few things in comon, one being the need for the river. Anyway, we got to the launch site (for those of you who know the river we launched at Split Mt.) and geared up. It was a cold day and the river was colder. It was so funny to see everyone pack on the layers of wetsuits, fleece, and more. We finally got on the river and it was amazing! We were in paddle boats, 7 to a boat, and a few duckies. The water was cranking. Huge rapids and even bigger holes. One of the girls in a duckie was sucked into a hole and spun around for a little while. It finally kicked her out. Some of the waves were so big the whole 12 foot boat would disipear. Man I'll tell you I really needed that trip!

Sunday Jay and I were able to just hang out around the house. That night Jay told me he was a little sad that we didn't have a campfire while we were there, so we had our own campfire in our backyard. Jay had Norah Jones playing in the background and we just watched the fire for hours. That's one thing I love about Jay (and loved while we were dating) is he likes to have campfires and he can just relax with me and put all other thoughts aside.

Weekend Events

Hey guys,

Well I'm just going to racap the last two weeks (or should I say weekends since nothing but work happened during the weekdays).

Last weekend, the day before mothers day Jay had to work which was a bummer, so Emma and I decided to go hiking. It was such a beautiful day I had to take advantage of it. We went up to waterfall canyon in Ogden. It was so amazing. The grass was green, flowers were blooming and man did they smell good. We only saw 4 people the whole time. Emma decided everytime she could she would jump in the stream. I love that she loves the water so much it's fun to just watcher her play in it and dunk her head. Well we hiked all the way to the snow and decided to turn around and head back. We of course played in the stream on the way back too. We were both so wet, Emma more than me. That night Jay and I just hung out. It's nice when we get to because our schedules don't work together to well. We get to see each other for about and hour or two each day (right before bed time), then it's back to work. So weekends, the ones I don't work or Jay too for that matter, mean a lot. 

Mother's Day was great. We went to lunch with Jay's mom and older sister at the Garden by Ogden canyon. For those that didn't know Jay does have other sibling; 3 half-sisters and 2 half-brothers. After lunch we went to my mom's to hang out for a while. We went and saw her condo she and Jay S. will be moving into. I think she will like it. It's smaller so less cleaning and they don't have to do any yard work. The best part of it is that it is by the river so if you open a window or door you can hear it running. So nice! The rest of the day Jay and I hung out more and played some Wii. Then, back to work.

This past week Jay and I, on Friday, took a ride on the FrontRunner to Salt Lake. I enjoyed the ride. It was really quiet and very smooth. I love the fact that it is helping with the air polution problem. 

Anyway, the reason we rode the FrontRunner was because we went the the Jazz game. If you say the game, nice. If not here is a short, non-basketball lover but enjoyer, recap. The game was crazy loud. I mean I really had ringing in my ears the whole night into the morning. Before the game even started the crowd was on their feet screaming and clapping. I can see why they saw our crowd is the loudest in NBA it was nuts. Most of the game the Jazz didn't play to the best of their ability, down by twenty or so at half. After the half they started to come back. The fourth quarter was the best by far. They finally caught up and played an intense game. I developed what I would call clapitis (clapping so hard that my hands bacame swollen, or so it felt). Jazz lost however, but it was still a fun game to be at. I enjoyed the Jazz dancers, when the crowd was going crazy and they were down there dancing it actually made me miss cheering. Weird I know but I did. 

Sat and Sunday I am here at work enjoying doing a whole lot of nothing thinking of the weekends past and dreaming of the river.

Happy Birthday Jay!

Well, this Saturday (May, 3dr) was Jay's birthday, and thanks to some awsome co-workers of mine Jay didn't have to spend it at home alone while I was at work. Instead Jay Emma and I went to Moab for a great mini vaca. We left friday late afternoon and arrived in warm Moab. On saturday Jay, Emma, and I met up with some friends and family and headed to the slickrocks for some 4-wheeling. Emma was so excited she wanted to run the whole time, I tried to make her sit on my 4-wheeler but she wouldn't have it. So four hours of running later we braked for lunch and Jay and I made Emma stay in the hotel for the rest of the day. She serously ran for four hours straight! Going no less than 10 miles an hour. We took her to the hotel and I checked her feet, poor girl had a huge blister on her pad. It had split open too. We left her in the hotel to rest while we all went back out for another five hours of riding. We were out for 9 hours. It was so much fun, scarry and heart stopping at some points but fun. There were some areas where I wouldn't take my 4-wheeler down and watching the jeeps and rinos go down we all really thought they might fall of the cliff or flip the vehicles. It was insane! At around 8pm we finished the trail and headed back to town. Stacey, her family, Jay and I went to a pasta place for dinner called Pasta Jay's. It was amazing food. I'm not sure if some of it was because I was so hungry but if you ever head to Moab go try it. I keep craving it now, and they give you so much food. I would recomend trying there alfredo sauce. WOW. Sunday morning after breakfast with the group we headed back to Ogden. The rest of the day Jay and I played our Wii. We just bought Mario cart and Jay got Mario Party 8 for his b-day. Both are so much fun to play. If you have a Wii I would recomend checking them out. If you don't have a Wii... What the heck?!? go buy one or borrow someones. It's worth it.
