Paint/Ducks

Im sure you are all aware of this but there are too many shades and tones of paint! I have had patches and patches of paint colors (all in blue) and I can not seem to get the right color! It is driving me crazy. All the time at different times during the day I walk by my room and stand there and stare at the stupid colors. Why are there so many colors?
Help!!!
Today Jay and I took Ava to Weber State to feed the ducks. This was Ava's first time seeing and feeding any. It was so fun to watch her try and figure them out. She figured out at first if you throw the bread they come running to eat it, then I think she figured if they were eating the bread so should she. So from then on every piece I gave her she ate instead of throwing to the ducks. Ava really liked when the ducks would dive off the side of the lawn into the water. She could not stop laughing when they would dive in. Here are some pics of our day and the college.
Ava has decided she likes to eat the bread instead of throwing it.
This goose was not afraid of us at all.
Such squishy cheeks!
This pic is Ava picking up a piece of bread and trying to eat it after I threw it to the duck.
(I think maybe she thinks she is part duck)

Easter

So today I finally have a few minuets to sit down and update the blog.
Easter weekend we took Ava to Staceys neighborhood where they were having an Easter Egg Hunt. This being Ava's first hunt we had her practice at home carrying her basket and finding her eggs and placing them in the basket. I didn't realize how much fun Ava was going to have doing this. Saturday night before Ava's bedtime we spent 50 min hiding eggs and Ava finding them. She was getting so upset when we thought she was done so while she would be grabbing her last egg Jay would take them all out of her basket and hide them all over again. So funny. Anyway. We headed up to Stacey's house for the hunt. We were hanging out with about 30 other kids so I took Ava to the far end so she wouldn't get trampled and so she could find some eggs before the other kids got to her. Well no one told the other kids that when a 1 year old is trying to pick up an egg you shouldn't race over and grab it! It was the funniest thing. Ava would bend down to grab an egg and some kid would see it and run over to grab it. The look on Ava's face was priceless. It was as if she was told the end of the world was coming. Just total shock! Here are pics and a video of the day.

Easter morning Ava didn't even care what was in her basket. She wanted a hunt so she pulled everything out and started on her way. 30 min later she was ready to eat and see her toys. What a funny girl!

April 8th my sister Stacey had her little boy! He is so cute and everything went well. I've only seen pics so far. The day I went to see her I had Ava with me not even thinking I wouldn't be able to take her in, well, I was denied so here are the pics. I have received. I'll finally get to see him Sunday. I can't wait. They haven't named him yet, Cade and Stacey have a hard time agreeing on names. It doesn't help that Cade loves the name Thore. Could you imagine, Thore Erickson? That just puts my mind back to the Viking Days. Especially with Staceys track record of two redheads. Oh that kid would get made fun of. Well so far Cade has had to come up with other names. So name coming soon.

Definitely not a redhead this time.

Da Vinci

I have just finished reading The Da Vinci Code! I always said I would read it but always found other books to read first. Well, I finally told myself it was about time and I have finished it. I really enjoyed the movie (yes, I watched the movie before I read the book) and I know from past experiences (Twilight) that the book is 9 times out of 10 better than the movie. Let me tell you something. If you have not read the book but have watched the movie, The book is 10 times better! So much more detailed, things tend to make more sense when they are not speaking french half the time and the ending! Oh the ending! The movie is nothing like the book ending, and I think the book ending was brilliant! After I had finished the book I pulled out the movie to watch it again and see what was different. Wow there was a part of me that didn't like the movie this time around after reading and knowing so much more! So I say again, if you liked the movie but have not read the book I would put it on your to do list and read it. So good. What did you guys think, those of you who have both read and watched The Da Vinci Code?
I am now starting the series The Maze Runner because I am waiting for the third book in the Hunger Game Series. The Hunger Games for those of you who haven't heard of it or read it is AMAZING!!!! I would go out right now get it and read it. I finished each book, Hunger Games and Catching Fire, both in 3 days. The only other series I have done that with is the Twilight Series. Seriously such a good book!
